Collaboration
The CPAL offers a supportive community where members can network, share best practices, and work through collective challenges. These connections were more important than ever in 2023 as the disability services system continues to rebuild after the pandemic and multiple natural disasters. Some highlights included:Â
Our three CPAL work groups and one task force met on a monthly basis to allow members to network and work together on solutions
CPAL staff and members worked with partners at the Louisiana Department of Health on a variety of issues, including improving behavioral health services and technology supports for individuals with IDD
We partnered with LDH to facilitate the transition from the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency and ensured that certain program flexibilities could remain in place permanently.
